Parkdale Avenue, is a Lower City arterial road in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It starts off just South of ''Lawrence Road'' at ''Hixon Road'' and is a two-way street throughout, stretching northward through the city's ''North End'' industrial neighbourhood and ends just north of the ''Burlington Street East'' overpass at the front gates of Triple M Metal LP, a scrap & waste management company. ==History==
''Orlick Industries Ltd.'' is owned by ''David Braley'', owner of the CFL's B.C. From 1919-to-1988, the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. of Canada was situated in the city's ''North End'' just West of ''Parkdale Avenue North''. ''Columbian Chemicals Ltd.'' on ''755 Parkdale Avenue North'', are manufacturers of carbon black - an agent used to reinforce and extend the life of products made with rubber, giving it durability and strength. This includes tires and hoses and plastics such as wire and cable coverings. Carbon black is also used in inks and coatings like copier and computer printer cartridges and paints. The Hamilton plant was built in 1961 and in 2007 employed 100 people.
